Senior Relationship Manager – Lending Service (1 Position Based in Phnom Penh)
Responsible for the management of a portfolio of high risk accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability by focusing on early intervention and development of a customer relationship strategy that prevent further deterioration with that customer.
Duties
- Develop customer strategy to optimize bank's return on its high risk account with focus on early intervention and retention of value.
- Increase overall customer profitability by managing price realization and better cost savings.
- Manage sustainable high risk customer relationship under the Workout Principles established by LSA and the bank.
- Work with colleagues in other BU's by shadowing accounts and suggesting improvement to ongoing customer banking arrangement.
- Conduct appraisal of customer financial status and provide recommendation to achieve an effective resolution or respectful exit of accounts.
- Recovery targets to be set at the beginning of the year. These to include IP recovery plus ancillary income gained from income opportunities identified.
- 100% of credit approval reviews to be completed before due date.
- Income margins or lending fees to be periodically assessed to be appropriate for the circumstances.
- Proactive engagement to ensure constructive relationship, providing updates to Regional LS and local CRO/RMC as appropriate.
- For shadow accounts quickly identify concerns or issues and work with the RM's to determine if the account should be transferred to LS.
- For LS clients identify early the recovery opportunity (i.e through refinance or arrangement of sale of security either through the customer own-managed sale or the Court's managed sale) and execute once approved by Regional LS.
- Maintain full checklist and filing documents/records for good operational control.
- Compliance with credit process, lending services policy, and legal practice.
- Receive a minimum 2 audit rating.
- Follow LSA process/procedure relating to account management through effective use of checklist and related documentation.
- Supervise and lead the LSA team.
- Provide coaching and support to develop LSA team members to enhance capability/skills Improving understanding of the credit process and procedure, new lending service policy, and legal knowledge.
- Leading LSA team when is needed.
- Provide Lessons Learned training to RM's/business units within the bank.
- Ensure the team maintain the highest levels of standards/behaviours when dealing with difficult clients. Reputational risk is a key risk and actions taken need to ensure that we are mitigating this risk sufficiently.
- Adhere to credit policies and standard regarding reporting and documentation.
Requirements
- Tertiary Qualifications in a business, finance or marketing field is.
- Capable of high level strategic planning through development and ability to deliver and execute the defined strategies.
- Proven performance in relationship management and strong negotiation skills.
- Sound knowledge of credit risk and proven ability in managing high risk, complex accounts with commercial acumen.
- Knowledge of the legal structure in Cambodia will be useful.
