Receptionists – 2 Positions

Responsibilities

  • To register the guest, ensuring that the necessary detail are obtained, i.e. name in full, address, whether company or private booking, special rate, corporate rate, VIP, charge details, nationality, copy for passport, etc.
  • To greet guests and allocate rooms according to laid-down procedures.
  • To allocate room accordingly to reservations list, ensuring that this is what the guest has booked, both in terms of the room itself and the rate to be paid.
  • To issue the key card.
  • To liaise or alert hall porter so that the guest’s luggage is taken to his room and the key issued.
  • To update occupancy list, giving  copies to hall porter and telephone list.
  • To ensure that all departments are notified of the related information.
  • Follow check-in and check-out policy and procedure.
  • Maintains the outer office reception area and the general office work area.
  • Collects small amounts of money from guests.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent degree
  • 1 year experience in hotel or food and beverage industry (no experience candidates are encourage to apply)
  • Flexible working hour and pleasant
  • Willing to learn from senior level
  • Good attitude and be honest and integrity
  • Must be able to speak Chinese
  • Good in speaking and writing English
  • Demonstrated skill to perform as a receptionist in a busy office with multiple phone lines
  • Skill to communicate clearly, effectively, tactfully and patiently in-person and on the phone to a diverse population
  • Knowledge of standard office machines
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to proof own work
