SNV Netherlands Development Organisation is an international non-governmental organisation that delivers capacity-building advisory services to over 2,000 clients in 33 countries in order to support local actors to strengthen their performance to effectively realise poverty reduction.
SNV is implementing a capacity development program in Cambodia since 2005. It started with the support to the implementation of the National Biodigester Program, which was followed by advisory support to Pro-Poor Sustainable Tourism in 2006. SNV is expanding its services significantly, including the start in two new sectors: Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, and Small Holder Cash Crops. These sectors match well with the development priorities in Cambodia and the possibilities for up-scaling SNV Asia products in the sectors.
SNV Cambodia is looking for a suitable candidates to fill the position of Small Holder Cash Crops ( fruits & vegetables ) Advisor 2 Positions Based in Phnom Penh. The ideal candidates will have the following responsibilities and should match with the listed requirements:

SNV Cambodia is looking for a suitable candidates to fill the position of Small Holder Cash Crops ( fruits & vegetables ) Advisor 2 Positions Based in Phnom Penh. The ideal candidates will have the following responsibilities and should match with the listed requirements:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivers advisory services independently and with the team
- Contributes to evaluation of achieved results, feedback processes and coaching of other team members
- Identifies opportunities for advisory services as part of the team
- Develops and maintains a functional network in the sector
REQUIREMENTS
- 3 - 5 years working experience in agriculture market development and value chain development
- Strong background in agriculture or agro-economics
- Experience in working with the private sector ( for profit and civil society ) as well as local governments
- Experience in strengthening capacities of local organisations ( NGO’s, civil society groups, membership organisations )
- Preferably experience in agriculture value chain financing
- Understanding of ( social, economic and environmental ) sustainable development
- Strong networking skills to build up, strengthen and maintain multi-stakeholder networks in the fruits and vegetables sector
- Impact oriented
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Computer skills ( Ms. Word, Ms. Excel, Ms. Power Point, Internet and E-mail )
- Willingness to travel to provinces with longer overnight stays
